Bettie and I skate together at High Tide Roller Derby. She entered our free LGBTQ+ family giveaway this past Pride month and won! One way her and her wife bond is by being tattooed by her. Bettie’s left arm is almost completely covered in tattooes that her wife did. How cool is that?! I absolutely love capturing people in their element and this session was no exception!
I’ve been friends with Ashley for a few years now and we met on Instagram. We live only 15 minutes away from each other and I have enjoyed watching her family grow. Her and Robert are great parents to Frankieand she is such a darling baby. Check out some of my favorites from our beach/home session!
Last week I went to check out some friends' bands and brought my camera along with me.
I loved seeing all the amazing female musicians shredding on guitar and rockin' vocals. As a whole, it was a really fun show outside Hybrid Studios located in Santa Ana, CA.
Up Next...The Gromble. These guys have been playing together for years and at this show they played all new music for their longtime fans. The new tunes are pretty rad.
My husband, in the black hat, was running sound for the show - proud wife moment!
Up Next...No Vacation..From San Francisco! It was a treat to have this awesome band stop by Orange County on their California tour.
And last but not least, The Aquadolls! Their high energy had the crowd moving and they put on a great show.
Amanda and I connected recently through a Facebook group that is full of Orange County models and photographers. I wanted to take some photos with the mustard grass that is just EVERYWHERE right now so we went on a little adventure. They are my favorite thing about Spring and I adore her look. Isn't she just darling?
I recently discovered a little prism from an old polaroid camera and decided to bring it on our shoot and play with that, as well as do a couple double exposures. Enjoy!
Three celebrations at once? Yes, please!! A good friend of mine, Jillian, is going to be a first time mother this year!! I am super excited for her and her husband Matt. My husband and I met them at our friend Michael's Celebration of Life in November. She has quickly become one of my fave gal pals and I was honored to be asked to photograph this special day. On Sunday, March 12th, Jillian got family and friends together for a St. Patrick's Day themed gender reveal/30th birthday party. It was SO HOT out, but it was great to be around good people and good food celebrating.
Food was catered by In-N-Out (yummmm) and friends and family baked delicious treats. Jillian made lucky charms puppy chow. It was delish and straight out of a Pinterest recipe.
Since this was a gender reveal party, guests were encouraged to place their bet by adding $2 to the pot of gold. If the baby is a girl, she will be named Ripley. If the baby is a boy, he will be named Bronson. After lunch, it was time to reveal by popping a giant balloon. Guests were given poppers to pop when Jillian popped the giant black balloon so everyone could be part of the reveal.
