[Picture Love] Mrs & Mrs Cupa

Bettie and I skate together at High Tide Roller Derby. She entered our free LGBTQ+ family giveaway this past Pride month and won! One way her and her wife bond is by being tattooed by her. Bettie’s left arm is almost completely covered in tattooes that her wife did. How cool is that?! I absolutely love capturing people in their element and this session was no exception!

[Picture Life] in DTSA | Orange County Photographer

Ali & Sarah have been friends of my husband and I for a couple years. They are both talented artists: musician and graphic designer. Ali plays in my husband's band often on guitar. I have been wanting to photograph them for sometime now in their adorable loft apartment in Downtown Santa Ana and so we finally scheduled a shoot.

This was a typical Sunday afternoon for these two: patio gardening, going out to have lunch, hitting up the local Farmer's Market, working in their home office space, playing with their pup Stout, and drinking tea. I love capturing the essence of everyday life. Enjoy!

Women's March 2017 - Orange County, CA | Orange County Documentary Photographer

Today was one of the best days of my life. It was such an honor to be part of history where in 60 countries around the world, over 3 million people marched on behalf of women. I marched in Santa Ana, CA (Orange County) with over 20,000 people of all ages, race, creed, ability, and sexuality. I was in awe of my community coming together for me and all women.

As one speaker proclaimed, "This was a coming out party for the allegiance of social justice warriors."

I didn't see any "official" press at our event. Surprise, surprise. So I took part in documenting and being the people's press. It's important that our voices be heard, and our ideas shared.
